Q: Is Windows XP supported by LANDsuite Professional?
A: Yes. Our new LANDsuite Professional software comprising of AccountrixXP, ThumbScapes and ImageScapes is fully integrated
to run with any of the
32-bit XP operating systems. We do not have a 64-bit version at this time. We do not support Windows 98 or older operating systems.
Q: Will I still be able to get support for XP now that
Microsoft Vista has been released?
A: Yes. For now, if you have a retail bought version of XP,
Microsoft as of December 2007 is still providing support for it.
If your operating system (OS) came pre-installed on your
computer, you will have to contact the manufacturer for support.
Q: I just bought a PC with Windows XP. Will I lose or have to re-enter all my Accountrix data?
A: No. However, having previously used a Windows version older than XP, you will have to send us a backup of the
ENTIRE Accountrix directory so we can convert all the data to our new version which
fully supports Windows XP. The same would apply for older Millie (DOS) and Millie for Windows users.
Q: Will LANDsuite run over a network of computers with XP installed?
A: Yes. However, it is strongly recommended that you purchase our yearly Gold Support Plan to get the help
you will need to configure your network.
Q: What kind of equipment should I have to run XP and LANDsuite Professional?
A: An Intel Pentium-4 2 gigahertz with 512 megs RAM, 40 gigabyte 7200 rpm hard drive, 20x CD-ROM and video
graphics card with 64 megs, or better.
