Q: Is Windows Vista supported by LANDsuite Professional? A: Yes. Our new LANDsuite Professional software comprising of AccountrixXP, ThumbScapes and ImageScapes is fully integrated
to run with any of the
32-bit Vista operating systems. We do not have a 64-bit version at this time. We do not support Windows 98 or older operating systems.
Q: How is Windows Vista different than XP? A: Generally, it has better protection from internet hackers
and undesirable intruders. The new built-in security, anti-spam
"filters" require user authentication every step of the way.
Though these settings can be turned off, it is not advisable.
Q: I just upgraded from XP to Vista. Will I lose or have to re-enter all my Accountrix data? If so, does this apply to newly bought PCs with Vista? A: No. All the work you did in Accountrix using XP is upgradable to our new version. However, users of Windows 98 or older will have to send us
a backup of their ENTIRE Accountrix or Millie directory to convert to the new program.
Q: Will LANDsuite run over a network of computers with Vista installed? A: Yes. However, it is strongly recommended that you purchase our yearly Gold Support Plan to get the help
you will need to configure your network.
Q: What kind of equipment should I have to run XP and LANDsuite Professional? A: An Intel Pentium-4 2.4 gigahertz with 1 gigabyte RAM, 40 gigabytes 7200 hard drive, 20x CD-ROM and video
graphics card with 64 megs, or better.
